My Resume includes various roles such as Paper Boy, Dishwasher, Warehouse Worker, Pizza Delivery Driver, Camera and Audio Retail Sales, and Wholesale Distribution Electronics Marketing Manager. I have also worked as a Bartender, Restaurant Waiter, Night Club DJ, and served 24 years in the Army, retiring as Major. My career further expanded as an IT Company Operations Manager, IT Recruiting/HR Director, Software Implementation Engagement Manager, and VP of Operations for a Global IT Hardware Support Company. Additionally, I served as VP of Alliances and an Equity Partner in an ERP (SAP) Software Company.
As a Family Man, I am a father to one daughter from my first marriage, and I raised two granddaughters from my second wife's oldest daughter for over 20 years, also caring for her youngest daughter for 10 years. Recently, I have been assisting in raising my great-grandson.
Despite facing significant health challenges for the past decade, including sleep apnea, high blood pressure, Type 2 Diabetes, pulmonary embolism, cancer, and a heart attack, I’ve persevered. I believe that I have accomplished a lot: taking care of my family while overcoming numerous health issues. Now, I'm excited to embrace new adventures, such as budget travel for seniors and solo traveling, as I continue my journey as a Boomer Nomad.
The plan is BOLD to say the least... I’m embarking on a social experiment by solo traveling the world on just $2500 a month!
I will keep it simple: I will 'Walk the Earth' and share my story, showing people how they can also embrace budget travel for seniors. They will see how I live, what food I eat, and what I experience along the way!
